Most of us have a writer "hidden inside", away from the outside world,
making an appearance when an important issue is in the news which
seems to occur most days.
My "writer" first appeared more than twenty years ago, spurred on by
many newspaper editorials I found fault with. Newspapers were the
perfect place to be "heard", in the 'letter to the editor'section open to
all, albeit limited due to the frequency restriction most publications had.
Unfortunately, this will not do for the "writer inside", for once he demands
to come out, he wants to stay out and be heard, often! So, a blog is the
perfect vehicle to become visible without the limits the media places on us,
something the writer many of us have inside would welcome.
